About STEMBox
STEMBox is a volunteer-led program under Rooted Forward, a New Jersey 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 42-3317645). Our mission is to cultivate a deeply rooted, forward-thinking community equipped for a technology-driven world. We empower learners of all ages by teaching technical expertise, creative design, and essential soft skills needed to excel in the age of AI.
Meet the Team
An Nguyen, PhD
Founder & Director
Dr. Nguyen (aka "Doc") earned her PhD in biomedical engineering from Drexel University. She was an award-winning educator at the high school and college level. She founded STEMBox to offer authentic learning experiences she felt was too scare in educational institutions.
Katherine Nguyen
Assistant Director
Katherine graduated with her BS in biomedical engineering from Rutgers University. She enjoys learning, teaching, and anything that requires a bit of problem-solving or design. In her free time, she plays volleyball and badminton.
Tri Do
Robotics Coach, Instructor
Tri is currently studying computer science at Drexel University. He started competing in VEX Robotics at Camden Catholic High School as a junior and qualified for the World Championship in his first and second year. He enjoys programming and design.
Dan Doan
Robotics Coach
Dan is currently studying electrical engineering at Villanova University. He started competing in VEX Robotics at Camden Catholic High School as a junior and qualified for the World Championship in his first and second year. He enjoys building and driving.
